Renamed 4 seater XP-720 to XP-796
07/Nov/2010 19:30
Mark Dobrowolski sent me this message:
"Was looking thru your Corvette prototypes section- you have 2 cars labeled as 'XP-720'. I have been compiling all GM XP code cars for a few years now, and in material provided to me by a friend who had access to GM archives, the 4-passenger '63-style Corvette prototype was XP-796. I cannot verify this to you..., but the idea that 2 very different Corvettes had the same XP number would be HIGHLY uncommon practice."
Of course he's right, two prototypes can't have the same XP number. Since I myself had two references to this car, but none with XP numbers, I renamed the 4-seater to XP-796.
Thanks Mark!

Added 1957 Airbox Corvette
05/Apr/2009 10:44
Added the 1957 Airbox Corvette. These cars were equipped with both (Regular Production Option) RPO684 which included the heavy duty brakes and suspension, and RPO579E, which included an airbox which increased horsepower by capturing cooler, higher density air, forcing it to the fuel injectors; and additional hosing ducts to cool the rear brakes to restrain the performance when necessary.
Updated Callaway TT, SNAT and C12

I updated the text with the Twin Turbo, the SuperNatural and the C12.
Moved some cars
19/Feb/2009 11:14
Because the old website did not have the different groups ("Prototypes by others" etc.), there were some cars that were in the original group "Prototypes by GM". Cars like the Moray and the Rondine did not belong there, because they were not created by GM. I moved these cars to the correct group.

Added:
- 1961 Vignale
- 1969 Baldwin Motion Phase III

New (wider) layout
30/Jul/2008 16:47
Today I made the layout of the website wider, to accomodate for wider photo’s. I had to make a lot of pictures smaller as they are and with most people migrating to larger displays anyway, I decided to make the total layout wider.
New category system
25/Jun/2008 22:30
Starting today, I started a new category system, in an attempt to better organise things. Maybe I’ll change the setup again in the future, but for now, I’m satisfied with it ;-)
I split up „Specials” in „Specials by GM” and „Specials by others”, since I had the feeling that cars by tuners like Callaway did not belong in the same list as official GM cars.

New layout for www.Corvettes.nl
24/Dec/2007 22:34
It turned out that Apple iWeb, with which I designed this website, was too limited for this purpose. Since some time I was experimenting with RapidWeaver, a program very similar to iWeb, but much more extensive, and results were very good. Today I decided to completely redesign this website with RapidWeaver.
Start of the website www.Corvettes.nl
28/Aug/2007 21:12
Today marks the end of www.Corvette.nl and the beginning of www.Corvettes.nl. The first domain name was claimed by GM Europe for marketing purposes, so we had to get ourselves a new domain name. Fortunately, we claimed www.Corvettes.nl at the same time as the singular form, so we can continue there.
This new website is completely designed with Apple iWeb.
