1979 Caballista Corvette
Meet Les Dunham. Born in 1941, he started to customize cars in 1957. He is the same man that made cars for James Bond's Live and Let Die and the movie Superfly among others. Between 1979 and 1982, his factory Dunham Motor Coach Co. in Boonton, NJ built 50 Caballista Corvettes. Only 5 of these were convertibles. The starting price of these cars in 1980 was over $60,000.
The car is all hand glassed. The grill has been mistaken for a Rolls Royce, Stutz Bearcat, Bentley and others. The truth is that it is all handmade by Mr. Dunham in his shop. No two of these cars are alike.
